about Rachel

I’m Rachel—writer, mom, ministry leader, and unapologetic Jesus follower.

She is Courageous was born out of my own wrestle with fear, calling, and the quiet war between people’s approval and God’s voice.

In my 20s, I was eager and full of faith. I believed if God gave me a dream, it would be easy to chase. What I didn’t expect was the resistance—external and internal. I found myself questioning whether I was truly qualified, whether my voice mattered, and whether I had anything to offer that the world needed.

I learned the hard way that as long as I looked to people for validation, I would crumble when they stayed silent.

But when I fixed my eyes on Jesus and let Him define me, something shifted. I found strength in obedience—even when it was lonely.

And courage in calling—even when it felt costly.

And that’s what She is Courageous is all about….

Not perfection, not performance.

But walking with Jesus when it’s hard.

Being faithful when it’s quiet.

Saying yes when you’re still shaking.

Here, I share from the trenches—through writing, podcasting, and practical resources for women who feel called but also feel scared (welcome to the club). Whether you’re leading, mothering, rebuilding, or starting from scratch, I hope this space reminds you that courage isn’t loud—it’s just obedient.

After being longtime Texans in the DFW area, our family relocated to the Greater Cleveland area in the summer of 2024. This is Rudy and our two amazing kids, Avery and Elliot.

I’m passionate about writing honest reflections, creating tools for spiritual growth, and equipping women to stand strong in their faith and calling.
